Krastin Nastev is an active and versatile young musician who is also engaged as a choir and orchestra conductor. His professional experience comprehends the collaboration with symphonic orchestra and choirs around Europe and Asia. Most recently he debuted with Mascagni’s “Cavaleria Rusticana” at Sofia National Opera. He won prizes at the international conducting competition “Europa Cantat”, at the Academic Bach Competition in Bulgaria and was finalist at the conducting competition “Mariele Ventre” in Bologna, Italy.

During the last ten years Krastin was selected several times to participate in conducting master classes led by well-known conductors such as Frieder Bernius, Lutz Köhle, Donato Renzetti and Gianluigi Gelmetti.

Krastin has graduated from the National Music Academy in Sofia as a choir and orchestra conductor and is alumnus of the prestigious “Accademia Musicale Chigiana” of Siena, Italy. In addition, he holds a diploma in advanced studies from the Music Academy Basel, Swiss.

In 2014 Krastin was invited to take part in the international jury of Saint Petersburg Choral Championship. In 2015 he also was part of the jury of Hong Kong International Children´s and Youth Choirs Festival.

Together with the prominent Bulgarian conductor and teacher Krikor Tchetinyan, he has founded and developed the master class for choir conductors in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
